ISymphonic

Post by Carlos salazar » Wed Apr 12, 2017 10:30 pm

ISymphonic midi track will not bounce in place without corrupting audio. Am I doing something wrong?
The track will playback perfect until I try to bounce in place then it will either be blotchy audio with missing notes etc. or it will just freeze and i must reboot Then I lose my midi track.

This can happen with certain audio units and IAAs if the developer of that app doesn't support non-realtime bounce. When bouncing and freezing tracks, Auria does it faster than real time (so you don't have to wait five minutes for a five minute song to bounce). All of Auria's built-in plugins support this type of mode, but not all AUs and IAAs do. I suggest contacting the developer of that app and asking them to add support for non-realtime bouncing.

In these situations I get around the limitation by doing the following:

1) Create a new audio track
2) Put it in record mode, select 'Master' as its source.
3) Temporally disable any master effects
4) Solo the track you want to bounce
5) Activiate record mode
6) Play the track through the section you want to bounce down

As Rim notes, this will take far longer, but you'll end up with a non-distorted mix-down. Obviously, it's much easier if devs support non-realtime bounce. :)
