Manual Punch in?

I hate to bring this up again, but is it at all doable in the future to add manual punching in ( punching in on the fly ) or is it still too much to ask for? :D

It's unfortunately too much to ask at the moment. Adding that would require a major rewrite of the playback engine, and I simply don't have time to do that right now...
