Recording with an itrack and ipad mini 2, Recording vocals.

Post by thenewguy » Fri Feb 12, 2016 3:49 pm

Hey everybody,
I've been having a couple issues recording with auria. I am using a focusrite itrack dock, with an ipad mini 2.. So, as i am recording vocals the only side Auria catches is the left side, it never records my full vocals. As i edit the track, it will still only be heard on the left side. Is there anybody who knows how to fix this, so when i record it will be heard on both sides? It may be a simple fix but i am probably looking past everything lol

Oh and the 2nd problem is that my team just bought this ipad mini 2 128gb and Auria is still saying CPU overload. What is the problem wi that, i have been confused but i just started using the program. Thank you for all of your help and best regards!

How many vocal channels are you recording?
Probably you are recording one single channel vocal input in a stereo track. To get this solved next time set up a mono track while for already recorded takes put a stereo effect in the effects chain.

I've had this happen ...if I have plug-ins inserted on the track.
When you select a mono track, and then then sing on it, the second you put a STEREO plug-in on it, the track then becomes stereo. When you try to record, it'll only record on one channel.

My solution is to open a new mono track to do all your vocals on, and then drag that track onto the vocal track that has plug-ins on it.

Hi,

Sorry to hear that you are having an issue when using the iTrack Dock.

As someone has already mentioned please ensure that you are not recording a mono source to a stereo track. Recording a mono source to a stereo track will result in you only hearing output in one headphone.

Try creating a mono track instead then try recording your vocals.

If you need any further assistance please feel free to contact us directly.

Best Regards,
