SFZ opcodes
SFZ opcodes
Hi
Firstly a special hello as this is my first post and new to all things auria
I have to say so far this is a stunning piece of work
I'm looking for some help with the sfz format for Lyra.
I have been working on some patches that use modulation cc1 to control volume and crossfade between lo and high velocity samples.
This is working quite nicely in aria engine on my pc daw but Lyra seems to ignore the modulation fader position and sounds like it's just playing the lo velocity samples at what seems like normal volume.
Does Lyra honour this opcode or is the modulation fader working in a different way somehow.
Thanks in advance for any help.
James

Re: SFZ opcodes
The modulation opcodes are version 2 SFZ opcodes and written for the Aria engine. Lyra currently supports all SFZ version 1 opcodes. There may be a few version 2 opcodes that you will find to be working but most of them are not implemented yet.
The list of version 1 and 2 opcodes can be viewed here: http://www.sfzformat.com/index.php?title=Main_Page

Re: SFZ opcodes
Hi Corey
I have looked at the list and all the opcodes I have used are from the level 1 specs.
xfin_loccX
xfin_hiccX
xfout_loccX
xfout_hiccX
xf_cccurve
Volume
Where "ccX" I have set to cc1 for modulation so I'm still a bit confused as to why this does not work.
Am I missing something in the specification?

Re: SFZ opcodes
Well that is interesting. Can you send us the SFZ file in question so it can be looked into further?
Re: SFZ opcodes
Hi Corey
No problem cut down version attached with just two samples.
I have checked in Aria and it works fine.
Cheers

Re: SFZ opcodes
I am curious as to what became of this. Was this resolved?
Re: SFZ opcodes
Hi not to my knowledge and I can't see any mention of it in the forthcoming update.
Bit of a shame as it is a bit of a roadblock in my intended workflow.

Re: SFZ opcodes
Any word on this yet?
Is there an issue with opcodes or was the file coded wrong? I would really like to know.
In retrospect, Thanks in advance.
