Clip noises

The recording seems to have some clip noises. This happens even I reduce the “Record Gain” significantly. Does someone have any way to avoid them?

What audio interface are you using? Which iOS version?

Thank you very much for your reply. I used the “iRig Mic Studio” of IK Multimedia. The iOS version is 9 something. I inserted the compressor in the vocal mode at the recording.

….but, strangely enough, I re-recorded after that under the same condition, same microphone/interface, same iOS, it did not happen. The gain was significantly smaller than the last time and sounds OK with the recording level without clip noises. While I do not know what it was and is, it seems that the problem is gone. I am sorry for this confusion.
