Hi,
Wondering if following the info online to possibly speed up the iPad (pro), such as conserving memory when disabling certain effects would effect the use of Auria in any way? Hope this doesnt sound stupid! Followed a website which gave some info on speeding up the iPad, listed below:
Some iOS features, including Siri Suggestions, Transparency, Motion, Automatically App Downloads and so on, also use your iPad memory while enhancing the user experience. You are not suggested to speed up your iPad Pro by reducing iOS experience, but you can have a try to get out whether there are some unnecessary functions you can turn off on your device. And below are some items you can adjust to reduce the memory usage on your iPad Pro.
1. Background Apps Refresh
Setting > General > Background App Refresh > Turn off "Background App Refresh".
2. Siri Suggestions
Setting > General > Spotlight Search > Turn off "Siri Suggestions".
3. Reduce Transparency
Settings > General > Accessibility > Increase Contrast > Turn on "Reduce Transparency".
4. Reduce Motion
Settings > General > Accessibility > Reduce Motion > Turn on "Reduce Motion".
5. Automatic Downloads
Setting > App and iTunes Stores > Turn off automatically download Apps and Updates.
iPad Pro Speed up tips recommended or not?
Re: iPad Pro Speed up tips recommended or not?
Those are all good tips. In Auria specifically, the most important thing you can do to reduce your CPU usage is to increase the buffer size. If you don't have any MIDI tracks in your project, this can go up to 4096, which is recommended to really reduce the CPU usage. However, due to limitations in iOS, if your project contains any MIDI tracks, the maximum is 512.

Awesome!! thanks for confirming, i tried out the buffer size you recommended by loading as many plugins as i could and actually makes a huge difference to CPU usage!! in which case i'll build arrangments first, bounce midi to audio, and then increase buffer to 4096 when mixing
