No partying for Rim, he has coding to do.

Rim-

Thank you for the quick update!! I can't wait to be able to use my iPad to do some serious, portable electronic production with tight timing! Just a quick input if I may? I'm sure I speak for many of us when I say that there's no need for fancy photo realistic GUI's - just something that is easily read and understood.

Thank you!!

My expectation is that Rim will produce a singularly amazing iPad DAW which will be well worth the wait.

If I could just simply record a MIDI track at the same time as the audio track, that would be a huge win for me and allow me to stay on the iPad with Auria. So if you could release just that feature first I would buy the upgrade to Pro.

what I am looking to do is track my electronic drums , using the stereo audio track for tracking/monitoring, and also record the MIDI. then we will mix the drums in post prod using samples from the MIDI track. We may send the project to someone else for mixing anyway, so I just need the ability to record the MIDI track at the same time as the stereo audio track.

If that would allow you to release it sooner I would be very happy

That's not how it works, ieem. You don't build apps that way, as a general rule. You would have to stop the general build, take out everything you don't need, and go through the whole testing cycle, and then do it again when you released the general app.

It is what it is.

yes I know, I have been developing SW for 20+ years.

You can usually drop new features from a release pretty easily and push them to the next release. happens all the time.

I'm sure it does, but we all want this to actually work.
