Trying to Control the Transport of Auria with a Footswitch

Hello,
I am trying to start and stop my Auria software on my iPad with a footswitch by sending midi messages.
I'm using the Alesis iODOCKii, also I have the iRig Blue Board, both of them are showing up in the midi control window of Auria, but I cant get either to work. However, it does work with the Yamaha Motif midied into the IODOCK with the Motif in song mode it will start and stop, I monitored the midi signal using midi wrench, and was able to send the same midi signal using the iRig Blue Board but it's not working. Any suggestions?
