Dear Rim,

this Email was sent to me from Customer Support (Chris Miller) at Wed, Jun 4, 2014 at 9:39 PM
With regards to the full MIDI implementation in Auria, I'm sure you can understand how big a project that is. It's in the works, but you should not hold your breath with every update. We'll make it known when this update is coming well in advance.
So, I didnt held my breath for almost a year, but understandable that I get some impatiance lately...
I have to say, I understand how big a project like a new auria is, but I dont understand whats big about adding a MIDI track to store some data (notes/cc), a audio track holds way more data than a simple MIDI track...
And obviously, MIDI support is all in there since you can assing controls to every kinda stuff in auria (Plugin controls for example), so no need to start from scratch.

Just saying...

He also didnt stated its a upgrade I have to pay for or even a whole new version.
That was the last email I got from WaveMachine Labs.

The reply I was waiting for in this thread, is regarding the beta version, when will it come and can someone get hold of it?
The other questions where already answered by the nice part of this forum community.

But since the Forumwarriors/Fanboys start to gather up, start bashing on persons, I'd pass on this forum.
You can reply to me by the email I registred with on this forum.

Have a nice sunday.

Oh, and for all you bashers, I know how to use auria but I dont know how a manual should help me out with the lack of MIDI tracks. I'm not a child and I know that auria together with the whole fabfilter pallette (sorry, was my mistake, I dont have the PSP but the fabfilters) is a nice piece of software.
But forgive me that I get a bit upset after such a period and so less information.
I want to see how you feel if you, lets say, buy a car that only runs on highways but if you ask you'll get told, city support is coming. So you wait and try to compensate with buying new tires and susspension to make it work in the city but it always turns out to be crappy and not working. Ask yourself, how would you feel if you still cant use it in the city after a year and still see no end on this?

Dude, I'm a software developer with ~ 20 years of experience, and let me tell you that implementing MIDI tracks (highly structured, sophisticated, layered metadata) is about 10 times as complex as Audio tracks (pretty much just a flat buffer of random bytes). It doesn't have anything to do with the raw AMOUNT of data. It is the COMPLEXITY. Or would you say that 100 kilograms of lead must be 100 times more expensive than 1 kilogram of gold?

shiroiyuki, stop complaining and go make some music or something. The only one doing the bashing here is you.

Hey Rim,

Any chance of showing a pic of the sampler GUI? Also after watching the sneek peak vid for Auria Pro, I wanted to know if you will be updating the way in handling midi notes (i.e in a similar manner to cubasis or beatmaker) - just seems abit of a fiddle having to zoom all the way in to manipulate a midi note(s).

Thanks!

I haven't started on the sampler GUI yet. It's just a black box with some inputs at the moment ;) As soon as it's ready, I'll definitely post some pics.

I don't think we'll be seeing Auria Pro in spring then, hopefully summer though...

It's OK, I can wait. Software takes time.
