Imported AIFF file doesn't show

Post by Wildginger » Wed Jan 07, 2015 8:39 pm

I tried to import an Audio file from my Dropbox. It seems to download as the blue status bar fills up slowly.
When the download is finished, nothing shows in Auria except for the name of the file in the track header.
I converted the file to a .wav format file and tried again, but..nada...

The file is valid because it plays back on my Mac

Any reason for this?

First, let's try to rule out an issue with Dropbox. Can you put the file onto a computer, then use iFunBox (a free program for your Mac/PC) to copy it to Auria.

Another possibility is the name of the file. If it contains foreign symbols, this may be a problem is some cases.

I found out it is the name of the file that created the problem.
There were no foreign characters but the file-name was long (4 capitalized words with spaces)
I renamed the file and it worked.

I still don,t know what exactly was wrong with the original file name : "CUANDO ESTAS AQUI CONMIGO.aif"

Is it possible that there were accents on the "A" and "I" characters?

· "CUANDO ESTÁS AQUÍ CONMIGO", rather than "CUANDO ESTAS AQUI CONMIGO"?

The file was sent to my Dropbox by the producer.
I just saw it as a normal file, but maybe the name had those special characters even though I could not see them
