Interface Issue

Post by CE3 » Tue Jan 06, 2015 8:38 am

I'm getting those annoying "device not supported" pop-ups when attempting to use my Lexicon Omega audio interface. I've never had problems using this interface with my iPad Air and Auria before but I haven't used it in a while.. possibly pre-iOS8. This doesn't appear to be an Auria-specific issue, but I thought maybe someone around here might be able to provide me with some tips and support.

I get maybe 5-10 minutes of use out of it before getting the message. The only workaround that currently seems to work is unplugging the device, which then gives me another 5-10 minutes before the "not supported" message disables it again.

Yuck. Are you using a powered USB hub?

Nope, just the Apple "lightning to usb" camera adapter.

I'm plugged in now via Targus usb hub I have (not sure if it's powered) and it hasn't shut down yet. I'll update if it acts up again. Thanks Miguel!

I remember reqding about the Omega sometime ago and using it as an audio interface for iOS but couldn't remember if it required a powered hub or not. Anyway, hope it works out.

Powered hubs are plugged into an AC socket (or portable battery sometimes).

Ok, it's not a powered hub, but I had Auria up and running for about an hour with no interruptions this morning.

Now, Interestingly enough, I've got it hooked up to my phone direct via the camera adapter (I was getting the message on both devices yesterday) and it hasn't stopped yet.

Thanks again, though!

If I have this problem in the future, connecting via the usb hub will be the first thing I try.
