Any plans for IAP sale?

Post by AndyE » Wed Nov 12, 2014 9:22 am

Hello to everyone.
Just wondering if anyone has heard any rumours of an IAP sale after the general Auria sale?
Fingers crossed.

NEVER SAY NEVER. Last year, I believe it was December or January when they were on sale.

It's actually pretty difficult to pull one of those off, since each plugin developer needs to be involved. I'm not saying never, but there's nothing in the immediate future planned.

Thanks for your replies. So it's either Pro C, Pro G and Pro DS or getting the kids something for Christmas.................... I'm sure they won't mind.

I think it would be smart for the developers to have a sale for the IAP/plug-ins once the MIDI update arrives. Auria will get so much attention and buzz that the plug-in developers could literally cash in on it!

Announcing a sale too far ahead of time is bad business-sense. If a mid- December sale is announced now then no one will buy anything for the next month.

That is very true MrNezumi. But I don't think Rim would pull the wool over our eyes when he says there's nothing planned for the immediate future. He seems like an honest chap who is on our side.
Or am I being naive. It's all too complicated. I don't know anything anymore.

I didn't intend to imply that RIM was trying to pull the wool over our eyes. Just pointing out it doesn't benefit any company to announce sales too far in advance. Hopefully if there isn't an app-wide sale, then at least a few of the companies will have individual sales. The last sale I pretty much bought everything I need, but I wouldn't mind getting a few plug-ins that I don't need.

Save up! Sales happen.
Couldn't resist and bought all I didn't own last year during December sale. As many have commented on other posts, the plug-ins set Auria far apart from other apps. Wish developers would provide more!

I also scan appshopper.com to find new music apps. Find great deals all the time.
