New project with same name as old project

I made a new project but accidentally spelled it exactly the same an project already having the same name that is in the Auria projects directory.

The new project overwrote the old project without even a warning.

P*ss off! lots of work lost.

Ok, it's user error, but still normally an operating system or program won't allow duplicate names to be created. And if it does there's usually a dialogue box asking whether to make a new file with an incremental name or overwrite the old one.

Some kind of check would be appreciated here to prevent this type of thing happening to others.

OK, I managed to save it with the help of the snapshots feature.

What i did was go into new project that apparently had the same name and look into the available snapshots for the project. In there there was a snapshot from moments prior to the name change and i selected this. Luckily all the audio and regions where intact and nothing has been lost.

Phew!

Still, a dialogue box warning of a duplicate project name would be appreciated and probably very useful on occasion.
