New mixing videos

Post by mrufino1 » Sun May 25, 2014 8:26 am

I posted the first video of a planned series on mixing in auria as I work on mixing a track we recorded a few years ago. Check it out, please give me feedback, including a better way I can shoot video if you know one! I recorded it with my iPhone using the tascam im2 mic. Also let me know if there's anything in particular you'd like me to highlight in later videos. Thanks!

Part 2 is up, I had requests to go over the way I use subgroups and aux sends. Thanks for watching!

Very nicely explained. A valuable addition to the collection of Auria tutorials. Thank-you :D

P.S. Might it be possible to compress the audio in future vids. It could be just my particular system but I found I had to wear headphones to hear the narrative. Full volume on my iPad's speaker was just too quiet.

Someone else mentioned it was quiet as well. I'm just shooting it by pointing my iPhone at the iPad and using a tascam im2 mic attached to the iPhone, I'm looking at better solutions, but am trying to avoid having to
Edit videos. I'll try using my Alesis interface on the iPhone, maybe that will work while shooting video.

It's also been a bad allergy season here, so my voice may not have been too strong, been a miserable few days!

But I will look at my recording method to see if I can make it work. Thanks for the feedback.
