It's nice that they will offer an API for other apps. Integrating a specific app's API can be a lot of work for developers (especially into a complicated app like Auria), so we'll see how this particular device develops, and I'll consider adding it if it makes sense. Keep in mind that there are lots of storage devices out there, all with their own way of doing things, so you can imagine it's something we have to give some thought to. It's a waste of time to spend a month writing custom code for a particular device that then disappears, or is overshadowed by a competing device with a completely different API.
On the other hand, if Apple developed a standard interface for accessing all kinds of USB storage devices, it would be ideal...
