Old phone effect for vocals

Post by jadmorffier » Fri Mar 28, 2014 5:14 am

Hi all,

I'm trying to replicate an effect in the verse of a song I am covering (see link below) . The best description I can give is it's kinda like an old phone (tinny, muffled and distorted).

I have heaps of plugins for Auria and thats kinda my downfall, to many presets to scroll through lol. If anyone knows off the top of their head which preset they think might please let me know.

Auria's ChannelStrip has two defaults that may be suitable ("Telephone" and "Telephone 1"). They might be a good starting point, at least :)

Oh wow silly me, I didn't even think to look there haha.

I can only see one in there, Telephone. Hmm where might the other one be?

Hmm. Maybe "Telephone 1" is one I saved (after making some changes to the original). I can't remember

Yep that makes sense.

Thanks agian for sharing. Most helpful.

This is what I've done so far, without the telephone effect...
