FabFilter Pro-MB - Coming to Auria

Post by ChrisG » Sun Dec 15, 2013 9:06 am

I couldn't find a thread about this plugin, so not sure if this is news or not. But just got back an email from FabFilter confirming that they are working on the iPad version of this amazing looking plugin. There is no release date yet as it's not finished, other then "early 2014".

Check out the plug on FabFilters site: http://www.fabfilter.com/products/pro-m ... or-plug-in

I can't wait to try this one out. If the earlier plugins are anything to go by, the Auria version should basically be the same as the desktop version.

Here are a few key features from the extensive spec list...

* Up to six processing bands, freely placed anywhere in the spectrum

* Handles any form of dynamics processing, from highly transparent compression, limiting and expansion to pumping upward compression and punchy gating

* Fully customizable per band: threshold, range, attack, release, output gain, ratio, variable knee, lookahead (up to 20 ms), variable stereo linking, mid- or side-only processing, external side chain input, triggering on a separate frequency range

Wow looks fantastic! These plugs are so much more affordable on iOS (and Auria). I feel like I'm going to get to the point of finishing my arrangement and editing in Cubase 7.5 and then move stuff to Auria for mix down, seems crazy but it will be getting to the point that I just have better plugs on the iPad than on my desktop  :D 8)
