Arturia iSEM?!?!
Re: Arturia iSEM?!?!
Interesting.
I don't think I've ever owned an Oberheim type synth though. What's unique about it?
Although...
I need another iOS synth like I need a hole in my head.

Re: Arturia iSEM?!?!
Collect 'em all!
The Obie's have a totally different current path, due to unique circuitry, wiring, tube specs, and most importantly - the tone generator is way different than Moog, Korg, etc, designed for their early synths. These are raw, and fat. Hopefully, expansion of this emulator will include an "OB-X" upgrade at some point...
If you've got iMini, iPolySix, iMS-20, etc, then you definitely have an obsession and you can't function another hour without this synth. An obvious example of an Obie that everyone recognizes is Van Halen's "Jump", created with an Oberheim OB-Xa. Have fun!

Re: Arturia iSEM?!?!
This one is definitely special. I imagine it's particularly special if you grew up listening to oberheim synths on your favorite records. I'm 42 and I love it. Think early pop/soft metal ala Journey/VH as well as Kraftwerk and the first few Depeche Mode/Yaz records.
