Looping and also hints n tips beginners guides etc

Post by Markie4eyezz » Sun Aug 25, 2013 11:33 am

Greetings all
Thank you for the massive half price sale it enabled me to try out the awesome auria

Stupid question of the day

I make hip hop beats and I wanted to loop a section of my song for mixing
Eg I want to loop track 1 which is the drum pattern (just the first 4 bars for example)
So I can mess with the effects etc and adjust the sound while that plays over and over

Please note may need to set up something like this for recording 4 bar loops in the future

Is that possible ?.is that what the markers are for..?
Is it in the manual if so what page as I didn't see it ?

A step by step guide would help

And Auria for dummies would help so I can get a good gist of all of auria
I like the Lynda vids but unfortunately I have to pay and thats way down on my budget
Family life etc is priority
So any YouTube vids would be great
Any help please anyone

Get ready ill be back with more stupid questions of the day soon
Thanks in advance

welcome to auria.

You can set up a loop by dragging along the time line to set the locator in and out points. You should see a blue vertical selection across your project. Then, tap on the song counter in the top right corner. Towards the bottom of that list you'll see an option called "Loop". Tap it.

There are other ways to set the locators. Look for that word in the PDF manual for more options.

You can also drag a 4 bar clip to 'loop' across our project. You have to zoom in on the right side of the clip enough (vertically and horizontally) to see a little half circle on the the middle right of the clip. Once you do, tap and hold and drag right for a while.

good luck!
