Dear Apple, where is our heavily expected Auria 1.10 update?
Re: Dear Apple, where is our heavily expected Auria 1.10 upd
Ok i took a random project with a few more things going on in it, I swear to god that the loop markers (and regions) were 16:1-24:1 not 17:1-25:1 before the update. Anyway, sending you the link to the rar file now.
Edit: Have anything changed regarding how auria displays the numbers/gfx on the time bar on different zoom levels?

Well i fired up my old unused Cubase SX, and yea It does behave like Auria. But why am I seeing it like it´s all shifted? I´m getting a headache, goddang it´s so hot today, gonna take a few aspirins and chill out in the shade lol.
Edit: Ok so in Cubase I always made a habit of starting things at 2:1 to align the numbers better. Been a few years since I last dabbled with music, iOS and Auria kinda got me started again and I have all starting at 1:1 in Auria. So I'm really sorry for the ghost chase here. I'm guessing that something just changed with what bars number are visible depending on the zoom level?

You're not hallucinating We did fix some issues with the way bars and beats display in the timeline. There were bugs in the previous versions that would show the wrong beat divisions and time.

Sorry, just to make it clear:i meant the END of bar 16,so that 17.1 marks the beginning of a NEW strophe. And that's just how it works in every DAW and Auria as well. And regarding your description i had the impression that your stuff now ends right before the beginning of bar 17 but it didn't before the update. But maybe i just misunderstood you?ChrisG wrote:But it doesn't make sense having an uneven number tho. It should be 4/8/16/20/24/28/32 etc like any other daw, anything else just makes things confusing when the numbers up top don't match the number of beats and loops when there's a lot to keep track ofCEIsar wrote:
well,in my music everything is ok if it ends at 17.1 because that's exactly 16 bars. But i have no idea how YOU work of course

CEIsar: Nah it was all a mix of some bug that's been fixed in this version, and a light sunstroke/heatstroke on my part, lol...It's all good now tho.

I'm not familiar with that card. I could look it up but I'll just ask you instead... does it work with other apps on iOS?
My Roland interface doesn't work with iOS at all because it isn't class compliant. If your card does work with other apps, my guess is that @ Rim will take care of it if you bring it to his attention (actually, I just did). I will go out on a limb and say that the Auria team would not want a major brand's interface to be incompatible with Auria if it works with other iPad/iPhone recording software.

Hey, did you know that there is a Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas named Auria? That is how it is pronounced, anyway. I haven't noticed if it is spelled the same. Just a bit of extraneous trivia, there.

The Roland Quad capture is a top of the line audio card 24-bit/192 khz with auto sense input and on top of it a beautiful slick design. The only disadvantage is that is powered only by the USB cable. Now when you plug it into the Ipad, the IOS is designed to reject this type of devices because power drainage.ZenLizard wrote:Gianul wrote:I am dying to use auria with my roland quad capture card, any one knows is there is any hoppe?.

I've studied other cards similar to quad capture that have been able to be conected to the Ipad using a USB powered Hub, but not the quad capture!. I hope Roland and Apple will find a way to get this two beautiful technologies to comunicate.
It would be the ultimate recording machine!

In the Playboy interview, Rim admitted it was payola in exchange for his unreasonably high black jack debt.ZenLizard wrote:@ Rim

Just out of curiosity, have you tried using one of those powered USB hubs? I have heard that some people have gotten devices to work when they were pulling power from the hub instead of the iOS device (as long as the device is class compliant). I know my own MIDI keyboard works with iPad only when it is plugged in to it's transformer, but that's not exactly the same thing.

You didn't say if you are using a Powered Hub?
I have a Focusrite Soundcard, and even though it has a Mains Power Supply, if I plug it in directly, the iPad refuses because of a power drain..!!...
However, putting it through a Powered Hub solved that issue, basically it separates any direct USB Power connection. They cost about $6.
The other possible issue is 'Class Compliance' - ie. no Drivers are needed, as the OS automatically recognises the Soundcards inputs and outputs, because the Soundcard announces it's abilities to the OS.
Roland might make very nice Soundcards, but if they are not 'Class Compliant', they won't work with Auria.
Good Luck, hope you get it working, but definitely try the Powered Hub trick.
