Transparent regions

Post by RobB » Fri May 24, 2013 8:39 pm

I've just been doing some editing where this would have been really useful. I resorted to using markers to line things up. It has been mentioned before, is this a possibility? If it's a CPU issue could it be implemented for just the selected/moving region?

Do you mean having the region become semi-transparent while you're moving it? I can probably do this easily if that would be useful.

Yes, absolutely,that's what I meant.

I think most DAWs have all regions transparent, but it would be most useful when moving a region, of course, or better still, when moving or when it's selected (blue or red border). That would certainly be a very useful feature for me. Anyone else like to add their support?

I just can't get over the responsiveness and willingness to consider user feedback in this forum. Thanks Rim.

Transparent regions would be great. Like in Pro Tools. Editing becomes much easier. I've noticed that it's already transparent when a track is frozen. But it would be more useful the other way around.

as long as you can still see the waveform while moving a region, you need to be able to see that.

OK, guys, not a problem, I'll make them semi-transparent while moving.

Thanks for the suggestion.
