Auria Workflows Article Part 2 - Anatomy of a Mix

Post by sch » Fri May 17, 2013 4:01 pm

I have just posted Part 2 of Makin' Music in 2013, entitled Anatomy of a Mix. Part 2 picks up where the previous article left off, and is all Auria.

Using a specific track (on my SoundCloud page) as an example, the article looks at the different aspects of the mix, such as subgroups, building a foundation (kick/snare/bass), split processing, sonic placement and movement, space in the mix, and automation.

Part 2 - Anatomy of a Mix

Here's a link to Part 1 of the article.

Enjoy!

For offline access, I also created a PDF version of the entire article available in my Public Dropbox.

Ciao,

EDIT: Link fixed (thanks, Shay).

Thank you Simon for this wonderful work.
This is what makes this music community so great. :D

One little thing regarding the link, it didn't open first so I deleted from the URL everything after the ".pdf" and it opened.
Instead of https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/158 ... %20article
It should be
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/158 ... 202013.pdf

Best regards,
Shay

Shay,

Hey, thanks, my friend. Technical writing is always something I enjoyed, and when you have a subject that you like, it's fun to do a thorough job. Hopefully others will find this valuable too.

Thanks also for the correction on the link... I've changed it.

Cheers,
