Using Auria in the input and output position
Hi guys,
I've been messing around with Auria and have reached the point where I'd like to use Auria in the input and output position of Audiobus simultaneously to use FX from other apps (no bass amp in Overloud or JamUp plugins unfortunately). I've read that if you choose Auria as an input in Audiobus before launching it you can then choose it as an output but I haven't had any luck doing it this way. Does this still work with the latest version of Audiobus? If not, which other DAWs allow this?

Re: Using Auria in the input and output position
I had this same problem yesterday as well, I've used the input output method quite a few times before and it worked great , I can't remember if I've had it working with the current version of Audiobus ,
But yesterday Auria re-installed itself twice on me before I tried the in/out way and it didn't work
I restarted my ipad and everything so I don't know if this has mucked things up for me or not
Has any1 tried to see if its works for them

Re: Using Auria in the input and output position
Likewise on my Ipad 4
I am sure this used to work.
I guess the 1.07 update will fix this?

Re: Using Auria in the input and output position
I'm not sure this is supported by Audiobus. I'll have to ask Michael about this. It's possible that it worked in a previous version of the Audiobus app, and then they fixed the "bug". In any case, I don't think it's anything that Auria needs to do or fix to make this happen.

I can't send an recorded guitar track out of Auria into Jamup back into Auria via Audiobus. Rim

Re: Using Auria in the input and output position
Right, I'll ask Audiobus about this, but I don't think this should have ever been possible. If it was, it might have been a "bug" on their part which they fixed. Again, I'll find out and report back.

Hi Rim I can happily create an audio track in cubasis and pass this through jamup pro and record back into cubasis.
I.e. cubasis is input and output - not sure why you think this should not be possible but it is and I think we all think it should be

Re: Using Auria in the input and output position
I just spoke with Michael from Audiobus, and apparently he says it was a bug in the earlier versions of the Audiobus app. This is something that's allowed in Audiobus, but an app must specifically enable it, and Auria never has. Earlier versions of the Audiobus app ignored the setting, and allowed all apps to use this feature.
I've made to change for 1.07.

Fantastic news! Thanks Rim
Re: Using Auria in the input and output position
There is a parrallel thread on this topic at the Audiobus forum. In it Sebastion from Audiobus said:
I've changed a setting in our app database and it should work now, even before the Auria 1.07 update. But you'll have to glitch it into working like in the previous version of Audiobus. Once Auria updates you'll be able to put it in both slots even when Auria is already running.

Re: Using Auria in the input and output position
That's spooky Auria is now working in input & output simultaneous in Audiobus again tonight
Re: Using Auria in the input and output position
Yep, the audiobus people "fixed" it. Thanks, Michael!
