This Audiobus warning

Post by Geronimo » Sun Feb 24, 2013 10:55 am

Any chance of fixing this in the next update? Because i'm working a lot with Audio Copy and Paste and each time after i switch over to Auria again this message appears 3 times in a row.

Oh, and "undo move locators" doesn't always work. I just moved them by accident, and when i pressed the undo button it didn't undo anything, despite the related message.

Do you have a series of step to reproduce the Audiobus message problem? If I can reproduce it here it would help to track it down.

It's possible that the undo locators is working, but the screen isn't updating. Try switching to the mixer, then back again to the editor page to see if it works.

Will try it.

The Audiobus error message happens (nearly) everytime when i switch to an external app, like DM1 or SampleTank, and then switch back to Auria.

I've never had this problem here. I switch back and forth between apps all day, so if you could give me step by step instruction with a particular app, I'd really appreciate it. Also, I'd need to know your exact specs, etc.

Thanks,

Okay. I've just opened Auria, then SampleTank, switched back to Auria and got the warning two times.

I've just tried the same with DM1 and nothing happened. But i've got the same issue with it in the past, too. Sometimes it happens with Safari as well.

And are you trying this from a complete clean state, in other words: close all background apps (including things like Settings, Safari, etc.). Auria should not be running, or Audiobus?

So, if I understand, correctly:

1. All apps closed
2. Launch Auria
3. Press the home button once to close Auria
4. Launch SampleTank
5. Press the home button once to close SampleTank
6. Launch Auria again.

Is this where you get the message? If so, I'll try this here.

Thanks,
Rim

I just restarted my iPad (3, 16GB, 6.1), opened Auria, then opened SampleTank, switched back to Auria, got 2,5 error messages. They're not showing immediately when i'm in the mixer window, but as soon as i click on the "arrangement" button they're there.

OK, I will try this. by the way, restarting your iPad does not close your background apps. This must be done as a separate step.

I just tried reproducing this and had no issues. I followed the exact steps I posted in my previous post. I tried going to the edit window as well. No messages.

It's reproducable for me every time. I'm closing everything completely, restart the iPad, follow the steps it's there again.

Would the project file help here? Does it make a difference that i don't have Audiobus installed, or that it's the free version of SampleTank? Or that i haven't got the 6.1.2 update yet?

I tried this with the free version and the paid version of SampleTank. I also tried it with 6.01, 6.1 and 6.2. One question - is your project 44.1Khz?

Always. Never even used any other setting.

when did Sampletank become Audiobus compatible?

I followed your workflow (on iPad 2) and did not get error. I launched Auria, then Sampletank. Audiocopied loop from Sampletank, switched to Auria, then audiopasted loop. Switched to Mixing view, then back to arrangement view.

It's not Audiobus compatible, and I was also launching this without Audiobus running.

@Geronimo, it might be something in that specific project. If you could send me the project, I'll try opening it up here to see if I get the message.

Thanks,
Rim
