Mix down to MP3

Probably a dumb question here- I'm mixing down to MP3 so I can sound check what my mixes will sound like once converted and am wondering why Auria doesn't allow mix down to 16 bit in that format. I'm realizing the sound quality isn't different with the 32 bit files but the file size is. Just wondering if I'm missing something somewhere in the setup. Thanks for the great product!

The bit depth doesn't apply to mp3 formats. You set the quality of the mp3 file with the bitrate setting (128, 256, etc). MP3 files don't really have the concept of 16 bit, 24 bit, etc.
