Is there a projected 1.06 release date

I've been keeping up the with the bug status thread, but did not notice a target release date for 1.06.
With so many "fixed" bugs, can we expect a quick release on this one?

I don't like to put dates, because i always blow them But I'm getting ready to do a release to apple. I'm hoping it'll be ready by the end of the week or early next week. Apple has been averaging 5-6 days lately.

We'll see how the Audiobus testing goes. It's currently being beta tested, so if it's ready by the time I submit, it'll be in 1.06. Otherwise, it'll be in the next update.

Since we're on the subject of Auria, and Audiobus. In your testing, can you confirm that any audio going through Audiobus is going to come out the other side as 16 bit, even if Auria is recording in 24bit?

I would expect all audio coming in to Auria to be floating point (so preserving whatever format it was originally), but we don't really know if there's something going on inside Audiobus that converts it to 16 at some point. I would be surprised if there was.. It's a question best asked of the Audiobus team.

After doing a search on the audiobus forum I found this:

"Audiobus lets you record and stream audio in 16bit, 44Khz. If you're asking yourself if it adds a lossy compression or something that could be heard in the final rendering of your project: no it does not."

"Audiobus streams audio in 44Khz, 16 bit. What Multitrack does with that, is up to MultiTrack, but it cannot improve the quality just by changing its internal settings."

Hopefully the 16 bit limit is something that will change overtime, or maybe something they can do for Auria.

better to put audiobus into 1.07 as it's bound to introduce a lot of unforeseen technical issues that will spoil the potentially 'bug free' and stable 1.06 that we're all looking forward to

That's interesting... Thanks for the link to that info. Looks like we'll be ready for it if they do support 24 bit at some point, though.

I wouldn't worry too much about Audiobus introducing more bugs. If you don't have it running, it'll get out of the way.

I can understand that. Thanks for the info.

Personally, I would get this out ASAP, and regroup for 1.07.
Bugs will be bugs, but many of the 1.05 bugs are seriously affecting workflow.

Since Audiobus is a major sales driver and Auria LE just released, with people holding of waiting for Audiobus, it kinda makes sense to wait a bit if that means Audiobus will be included faster.
