Re: Using effects/plugins (total NOOB question - sorry)

Jon - thank you that is indeed very clear and a huge help.

One last question (please):

Is each instance of a plugin totally independent i.e. will changing parameters in one instance effect those in another?

Many thanks again for taking the time to respond - much appreciated!

Using effects/plugins (total NOOB question - sorry)

I think it is time I asked some dumb questions to try to clarify some concepts I have never really got me hear around. The main problem I have with software based recording (as opposed to my old hard disk based and before that cassette based setups) is that I really understand plugins. To help me cl...

Access to Blog broken again

Hi - I'm not sure where else to report this so hopefully here is as good as anywhere. I'm trying to access this article: http://blog.auriaapp.com/simple-parallel-compression-in-auria/ And I keep getting "Error establishing a database connection" I'm seem to recall having a similar issue wh...

Re: ASK THE RECORDING EXPERTS

Hi Anthony - Thank you for the response. It took me a bit of Googling to find out what you meant by ProQ (I'm still relatively new to the world of software-based Multitracking/DAWs) but got there in the end. However £30 for what is essentially an EQ seems a lot. Is it really worth the money (that is...

Re: ASK THE RECORDING EXPERTS

I’m sure this is a pretty basic question but I have searched the forum and not found anything that helps directly so I could definitely use some advice. When I first started using Auria one of the first things I did was bring over some half-finished projects from my physical HD-based recorder as I w...

Re: ASK THE RECORDING EXPERTS

So if you dont want to see the last take always hit undo record or tap cut. If you dont want to go looking for the best take in your filing system for the project, keep all the takes up to audition them. And yes you will have to cut the top take to see and hear the take thats under it. As for recor...

Re: ASK THE RECORDING EXPERTS

I have two slightly odd questions to do with the behaviour of Aurai Pro which I hope one of the more experienced users of Auria can help with (please): Question 1: I record a take: Take #1 I then I decide I can improve it so I redo it giving me Take #2 I decide that Take #2 is the definitive take bu...

Re: Instability when using Record with effects

Hi -

The ones I was trying were Overloud THM (Mono)

Full Metal > Knife

Full Metal > Cranked

I don't think I tried any others but both of those gave me the same symptoms.

Re: Track naming forces Initial caps

Well I agree that it shouldn't be a setting (too many settings is not a good thing as you say) but I can't quite see why you need to 'force' initial caps. The problem is that there is no way of not having an initial capital. In iOS messaging Auto capitalisation allows you to go back to the capital l...

Track naming forces Initial caps

I prefer to name my tracks using all lower case letters but Auria (Pro) now seems force an initial capital letter. I know this is a minor thing but it seems to be a regression as I'm sure it wasn't like this when I started using it. It seems to be something that has been introduced recently. Please ...

Instability when using Record with effects

I'm reporting this in 'Bugs' because I *think* this is a bug but maybe I am simply doing something wrong... I am trying to use the Overloud plug ins on various Guitar tracks in a project. I had used an effect setup called "Clean Guitar" on a previous guitar track (track 3) and wanted to us...

Re: Recording separate outs from Roland Boutique range

Thank you for the response.
I thought there might be some kind of limitation like that.

I'll stick to the just using the stereo out and treating all the sounds as one. Shame really as it would have been nice to be able to treat some of the sounds individually.

Thanks again...
