Any audio files in Auria will snap to the grid you have set up. Change the Grid type in the transport menu (touching the time readout) and set the Snap To drop down menu to the subdivision you would like to snap to.

No, there really is no advantage--in fact almost all USB 1 devices will work with Auria. The only advantage of USB 2.0 is that more inputs are allowed (you wont find a USB 1 device with more than 4 or so inputs). Performance wise, you shouldn't see a difference.

Currently the only external monitoring that the iPad can achieve is mirroring, so whatever you seen on your iPad screen is what would be displayed on an external monitor. In other words, you could not split up the Mix and Edit windows on two different displays.
