Re: Brand new here, looking for direction please.

Yes, this is all possible in Auria. The Alesis Dock is compatible and you should have no trouble recording two inputs. If you're eventually interested in a higher-end interface, you can take a look at compatible ones here: http://auriaapp.com/Support/auria-audio-interfaces In terms of compatibility ...

RME Fireface UFX goes Class Compliant!

We've just heard from RME that their UFX Interface has been made class compliant! RME has confirmed 22-channels in and out of the iPad on their forums. Feel free to follow the thread here: http://www.rme-audio.de/forum/viewtopic.php?pid=82733#p82733 They have also posted an amazingly informative .pd...

Re: Retune question

Hello, For a pitch shift, mute the Dry signal and unmute the Wet signal. Then, turn the 'Shift' knob to the desired amount. Press the 'Q' button next to it if you'd like to restrict it to discrete half-steps. As per the presets, each preset will sound a bit different, so changing them will invariabl...

Re: Auria LE Upgrade question

Hello, Upgrading from LE will give you everything that the full version offers. However, you will always be updating the LE version when we release updates. We do our best to make sure both versions are updated simultaneously, but sometime Apple doesn't approve them at the same time. Best, Chris Wav...

Re: Auria support for Makie DL1608-806

Hello, For an interface to be compatible with Auria, it needs to be class compliant, meaning it will run with the CoreAudio driver on the iPad, and does not need its own specialized driver. This makes iOS compatibility largely up to the interface maker. So, for the DL1608 to be compatible, it would ...

Re: snap menu doesn't include bars and beats

Hello,

Any audio files in Auria will snap to the grid you have set up. Change the Grid type in the transport menu (touching the time readout) and set the Snap To drop down menu to the subdivision you would like to snap to.

Best,

Re: The Working / Not working audio interfaces thread

This actually isn't accurate--some devices require a powered USB hub even if they are powered themselves. This is due to the device's firmware over-reporting the power needs to the iPad, and a powered hub in between the two solves this. In other words, a powered USB hub may still be necessary regard...

Re: The Working / Not working audio interfaces thread

The PreSonus Audio Box should work, not sure about the Roland (we haven't tested it)--our list of compatible devices is here: auriaapp.com/Support/auria-audio-interfaces

Re: USB 2.0 vs. USB 1.1

Hello,

No, there really is no advantage--in fact almost all USB 1 devices will work with Auria. The only advantage of USB 2.0 is that more inputs are allowed (you wont find a USB 1 device with more than 4 or so inputs). Performance wise, you shouldn't see a difference.

Best,

Re: The "Auria Wishlist Thread"

Hello, The only way to achieve this currently would be to bounce a copy of the drums with the desired reverb. Then, you can put this on a track and use the gate on the ChannelStrip. Hopefully this will let you achieve what you desire, but we will consider more flexible options for future updates as ...

Re: Play Video on a External monitor

Hello,

Currently the only external monitoring that the iPad can achieve is mirroring, so whatever you seen on your iPad screen is what would be displayed on an external monitor. In other words, you could not split up the Mix and Edit windows on two different displays.

Re: Reverb issue

Hello, Yes, the convolution reverb is quite CPU intensive--convolution reverb is by nature. For it to run on a record enabled track, the buffer size would need to be too high to realistically monitor the signal. With regards to the Classic Verb, we will continue to make improvements to our plugins a...

Re: DAW that supports AAf format?

Hello,

Most major DAWs support some form of AAF import. ProTools, Logic, Nuendo, and Digital Performer all support AAF Import/Export.
