Trying not to be a pest, but were we supposed to receive a confirmation email if we submitted? I don't know if mine was received. Just being paranoid, but with my luck it would get caught in a spam folder.

Re: Noob helping, stereo/mono
I'd say about 80% of what I record that is mic'd is usually on a mono track, but using IAA or AudioBus the tracks are almost always stereo. Some things that are regularly stereo tracked for me are drum kit OH, or using 2 room mics for an amp or piano, groups of singers. I love recording choirs. It's...

Oh man.. The GUI for the sampler is the most important thing. It's gotta look spiffy with flaming text, flying saucers and stuff like that.

Re: Major Auria Announcement
Good question. I'm hoping to hear about this too. Auria isn't really a controller for external synths, but I see what you want to do. There are several apps out that are perfect for sending advanced midi commands like bank and patch changes in different formats. I think Midiflow is one of the favori...

Careful!
Is it madness... or genius?
Sometimes our dark lower demons come out to play. Sometimes Google translate just plain sucks.

The gang here at Wavemachinelabs has put together a fairly comprehensive list of tested interfaces, but I have tried several not on the list that work well too.
Here's a link to the list.

Re: How to Tune your kick drum
Not in Auria AFAIK. Most kicks don't really have a pitch per se, but I bet you're talking about one of the billions of 808 kicks which are modified sine waves. IMO 808 based kicks don't have to be tuned to the key of the song, but could ride in one of the many sub harmonics that are always present i...

Re: Didjeridoo iOS
Alchemy was purchased by Apple several months ago and has just released it as an addition to Logic Pro for the Mac. I think the perfect app to be able to do this would be "ThumbJam". It has a lot of hands-on expression features, but you would have to assemble a few good samples and make a ...

Re: Best Way To Learn Auria
I totally agree with Corey. I have been a member at Lynda.com for about 4 months. I pay by the month, ($25) but I got in on a father's day special (3 months for $49). I believe they have a 10-day free trial going on. They have tutorial videos for all sorts of programs. The manual for Auria is a very...
