Re: No sound going to master channel.

Robert A couple of of obvious things to check - Does the same thing happen in a new project? Force quit everything and reboot iPad? Are you using any fx, either the channel strip, built in, or IAA/AU? I had a project develope the same issue recently. First thing I've did was back up the project. The...

Re: New to Auria

Welcome to Auria! In the Mixdown window, select "Stems" in the file type drop down. This will give you a wave file per track (with silence between clips, as well as any fx on the channels strips and automation). https://s3.amazonaws.com/auria.store/docs/Auria+Pro+User+Guide.pdf Here's a li...

Re: Insert for hardware effects?

I'd recommend doing your send to your external fx through the iCA4; Presuming your instrument is in input one - use iConfig to route that input to both an iPad input as well as one of the iCA4 outs. Plug that out into your fx, and the fx's out into the next iCA4 input. Route that input to another iP...

Re: Recording Amplitube into Auria....

To me, this seems like a situation best served by Audiobus - although with the condition that the Amplitude tone is "printed" to the Auria track. It would be less like using a VST and more like using an external pedal. Kinda depends on if you are (at least close to) happy with sound you ha...

Re: Volume on processed signal when using external fx.

Got it -
Perhaps rather than looking at more external parts and cables maybe a new interface that supports multiple hi z inputs would be simpler and cheaper....

Re: Volume on processed signal when using external fx.

From a quick look at the Duo, the first input, labeled instrument, is switchable to hi z which should be compatible with your presumably 1/4" connected line6 box. This also presumes the output of the line 6 is designed to plug straight to a guitar amp....

Re: Flanger on the whole mix.

Personally can't recall ever hearing that - do you have examples?

It's become a popular feature for mastering programs to include tape emulation, saturation, wow and flutter etc, but that's not flanging....

Re: Animoog Presets Not Staying

Glad that worked!
Might depend on how the midi file was recorded - for instance I've downloaded/imported midi midi clips that have them embedded.
Perhaps an erroneous press on your keyboard?

Re: Animoog Presets Not Staying

It kinda sounds like you may have a program change embedded in your midi track.
Double tap on your midi track, and on the "notes" drop down, see I'd Program Change is in bold text. If so, select it, and either delete any PC messages or set them to the preset you want.....

Re: Focusrite 18i8 advice

I'll second all of Davy's tips - getting the mixer and the interface leveled out properly is the right way to go... Maybe do a search on "gain staging", which is essentially what's being discussed here. Definitely zero out the interface via the control panel, and on the mixer learn about t...

Re: Focusrite 18i8 advice

Don't have either parts, but... Could be gain settings in the Focusrite control panel... Could be gain staging in the mixer as well. Are you using the Direct/Pre button? (Without knowing your background/experience, I mean no offense if I'm stating the obvious to you). If so, what you see on the mete...

Re: Plosive plugin?

This possibly could be tamed using multiband compression - a narrow frequency range could be defined around the pop, and just that area would be compressed, take some of the energy out of it. Still tricky especially if it's a lower male voice with signal in that same range but it should help. (Or of...

Re: Aux question

Rick Your post led me to do a bit of tinkering as it sparked my interest.... So presuming you are talking about the 6 aux sends on each channel strip... From what I can tell on the default routing is they feed into the Aux FX area, then to the Aux Returns over the Master strip. They at no point retu...
