No, the 1818 requires a powered usb hub. I use a 4 port D-link, seems to work fine.

Its probably just a free disk space thing. I kept getting that message when I started tracking 8 tracks of simultaneous drums at 96K on my ipad 3. I thought I had enough space to do this but I didnt. So it seems that if its a few tracks at 96 or a lot of tracks at 44, it all equals the same thing = ...

Make sure that you're only running headphones out of the PreSonus and not the iPads headphone jack. This was a recent change to Auria.

Auria is the only ipad app (currently) that will even think about running in 96K therefore no other apps will work while running simultaneously. The problem is that other apps can't handle 96K so everything comes to a screeching halt. Shut down everything, the background app, auria and anything else then open just auria and you should be ok. Its not lost, it just goes into 'lock up' mode when that sample rate message comes up. I havent lost ...

Exactly. Hitting 'undo' after a take for me is such a habit that I almost do it after a good take.

Or at least set your 'auto punch' points so wide that the newest take exactly lays over the older ones. Auria, by default, plays only the top layer. That is, assuming you're using 'auto punch'....

Rim, nope, not now that I keep the earbuds plugged directly into the PreSonus.....BUT if I plug in earbuds to the iPads headphone jack and have the presonus connected via the lightning port then ya, it can be duplicated. Trupro, yeah, I do get normal playback/live monitoring when plugging the earbud...

Ironically, Apple just released a 128GB iPad 4 for the same price as the current 64 gig. So, there ya go. In fact, they quoted Rim in the official press release. Rim posted it early today.
