Re: Why make it easy?
Well cost is a pretty big reason :) I came to soft synths and DAWs pretty recently via the iPad, and wouldn't really be able to justify the investment to do the same on the desktop. But on iOS it's very affordable and a lot of fun. Also, the touch interface does lend itself pretty well to music, I c...

the original drumagog download is 300 meg, the additional content is 1.5 GB as martygras says - but you can choose which files you add in the bonus content.

Re: Midi sequencer and virtual instruments
I don't think you will be disappointed - the effects in Auria are really good. I don't really mind splitting the workflow between the two apps personally, it means you use both to their strengths. There are things I really like about Cubasis: the routing is really easy, the interface is clean and ea...

Re: Quantize tracks using "snap to" function?
I didn't know that you could use your own samples in Drumagog - is there any information on this available?

Re: Synth app or IAP recommendation please
Alchemy has a few of those, as well as an IAP pack called Heavenly Voices - it might be worth a try. You can download Alchemy free (the Pro version is an IAP) and you can preview the extra sound banks from within the app.
It's a great synth.

Re: Quantize tracks using "snap to" function?
You could create a quantized 4 beat bar, and then use the copy and paste function to rebuild the track from that one bar. The play head will snap to bars so it could be done quickly by moving the play head one bar at a time and pasting.

Re: Midi sequencer and virtual instruments
Well, I would say it really is worth investing in Auria, despite the lack of MIDI, because in terms of sound and features it really is head and shoulders above everything else on iOS. What I do is to record MIDI and sequence from Cubasis, then take the project into Auria for mixing and effects. You ...
