Re: Storage Solutions for iPad with Auria
I have jailbroken my iPad on the grounds that I only use it for music and if it is less reliable jailbroken, I can un-jailbreak it very easily. The only thing I've installed is iFile, which is not very reliable itself, but having on the iPad doesn't seem to ake anything else more flaky. I used Evasi...

Re: Reverb and panning!?
This is odd. Using a mono audio file, with Aux 1 set as Pre-Fader, and using the Classic Verb (stereo), this works - you can pan the track to the left and the reverb stays on both channels. But if you use the Convolution Reverb (stereo), it doesn't work - the reverb follows the pan of the track. Som...

Can't Solo Aux
I don't seem to be able to Solo the Aux's. I can Mute them, but the solo button doesn't light up and the Aux doesn't solo. Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug?

Re: Reverb and panning!?
OK, I was wrong, you don't change the position of the aux send pan by moving the Aux pre or post fader. So you may have to do the copy-track idea.

Re: Reverb and panning!?
If you put the reverb on an Aux send, then, depending upon whether the Aux is Pre or Post fader, the reverb will be panned with the channel, or not. (This is because the pan and the fader are normally grouped together, so pre fader is also pre pan and post fader is post pan). Not sure how Auria is s...

Re: Ipad air vs Ipad mini retina?
iPad Air is the significantly faster as it has got 1.3GHz Processor compared to iPad Mini which has 1Ghz Processor. N One more feature is the RAM. iPad Air has the higher RAM of 1 G compared to 0.5 G of Ipad Mini. I would choose iPad Air compared to iPad Mini as it got higher comparison rate at: ht...

Re: Apogee One
It's not Class Compliant, so I don't think it will work. I have one, and I haven't even tried it. Give me 24 hours and I'll give it a go, but I don't think you're in luck.

Re: Hiss, Hum, Bad Earth And 120 V's 240V!
UK - 240v, 50Hz US - 100v, 60Hz The most likely cause of hum through guitar pickups, (usually single coil) is flourescent lighting and CRTs. Or a poorly shielded guitar. Fixing it in the mix is useless, if it's loud hum. If it's only noticable when there's no playing, then volume/mute automation is ...

Re: Spdif workaround for unsupported interfaces?
The only thing I can think which might be a problem is which device would slave to which - with S/PDIF you need a master and a slave. Not every interface will allow itself to be slave, and it may be that the interface connected to the iPad (the Omega) would have to be the master. Other than that, th...

Re: Recording from Focusrite Scarlett 18i20
Did you manage to get the DL1608 to record a stereo mix to Auria? Another user was trying to get one working with Auria and I don't think they succeeded: http://auriaapp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=11936&p=32130&hilit=mackie#p32130 Anyway, at least you're getting somewhere with Focusr...

Re: Recording from Focusrite Scarlett 18i20
Wrong sample rate maybe? If you are higher than 48KHz (so, 88.2, 96) then you half the number of channels available on a single ADAT port.

Same problem here. You have to close the song and open it again.

Re: Itunes Mastering Tools
Likewise, far more sensible to submit 88.2KHz files to convert to 44.1KHz. Converting from 96KHz to 44.1KHz involves a lot of rounding errors. Not sure why everyone is obsessed with 96KHz. Dominic False, sample rate conversion doesn't work like that. Well, do enlighten us all as to the SRC maths th...

Re: Itunes Mastering Tools
This is an interesting level of fuss which Apple is making, considering that QuickTime on OS X 10.9.2 fails correctly convert a 16bit 44.1KHz (both WAV and AIF) file to .m4a (AAC) - always converting to 48KHz instead of 44.1KHz, a sample rate conversion which is tough at the best of times, and is co...
