Re: 128 Gb iPad, this app only, it crashes on startup.
Auria most definitely works just fine with the 128GB iPad 4. I upgraded from the iPad 1 to this iPad and I run Auria with no issues whatsoever. As Rim suggests, it is probably something simple, so certainly keep at it!

Re: Do I need a 128gb Ipad or can I get by with 64gb for Aur
Well, at the other end of the spectrum, my experience, coming from a 64GB iPad1 to a 128GB iPad4 is that the additional $100 is well, well spent money. Anything to do with audio means large files, and multiple tracks means more of them... ad infinitum (that is until your RAM runs out). Between Auria...

That says it all.Rim wrote:... but if you're able to take the most essential part of your studio with you to the places where creativity really strikes, then I think Auria's met it's goal.

Re: Which add-on first?
I LOVE the Q. It is so freaking easy to "drag in" exactly what is needed and the quality is outstanding. I could actually do away with the ChannelStrip EQ section (if not all of it) and use Pro-Q exclusively. As you say, EQing graphically is far more intuitive, especially with the analyze...

Re: Which add-on first?
I think the Pro-Q was the first add-on I purchased (I use one on every channel), followed pretty quickly by the StereoDelay, StereoChorus and others. Once I realized how good Auria is and how well the add-ons worked, I purchased the rest as well. The only ones I don't have at this point are the Spri...

Re: Is there yet an offline transfer from GB to Auria?
Audioshare is most likely the best "audio hub" for iOS, kinda like GoodReader but for audio. It does have basic editing, like trimming (no zoom tho). But what it does is it gives you full access to Sonoma audio pasteboard so you can clean out all 12 files Sonoma holds, if you need to. It ...

Shay,
Hey, thanks, my friend. Technical writing is always something I enjoyed, and when you have a subject that you like, it's fun to do a thorough job. Hopefully others will find this valuable too.
Thanks also for the correction on the link... I've changed it.

Re: Article on Workflows Using NanoStudio and Auria
I have just posted Part 2 of Makin' Music in 2013, entitled Anatomy of a Mix. Part 2 picks up where the previous article left off, and is all Auria. Using a specific track (on my SoundCloud page) as an example, the article looks at the different aspects of the mix, such as subgroups, building a foun...
