Re: HW compatibility
Hello, The devices that you mentioned with the 30-pin connection are all MFi devices (Made for iPad/Phone/Pod) and should certainly be compatible with Auria. Since the Blue Snowball Mic is just stereo, there is also a good chance it will work with the CCK, but we haven't tested it and cannot confirm...

Re: Very simple 1 input setup. Thoughts?
Hello,
Bottom line is if it works, it works! If you're happy with the sound go for it. The possibilities are endless as you move up in terms of price, but if you're content with what you're getting, no need to change it.
Best,
Chris

Re: Effects and memory
Hello,
Printing effects is essentially what freezing a track does--it temporarily renders all effects to a new audio file and bypasses the plugins, freeing up processing power.

Chris

Re: Effects and memory
Hello,
What model of iPad are you running Auria on? Also, if you aren't already, you should always make sure any background apps are closed while running Auria, especially if you're running into Memory/CPU warnings.
Best,
Chris Miller

Re: Recording Live Band
Hello, One of the Auria demo projects, "The Approach," was recorded entirely on Auria. Drums, Bass, and Guitar were tracked simultaneously, using 12 or so inputs on the PreSonus 1818VSL. The Focusrite will be similar in performance, though more external preamps are necessary (only two buil...

Re: Importing gog files from Dropbox
Hello, While you can import individual audio files into a session through DropBox, it won't work with Gog files or IR files. Since the files need to be imported in a zipped format, the only way to import Gog files is through iTunes File Sharing. To do this, create a folder called "Gog Files&quo...

Re: In app vst to come
Hello,
We will certainly update the Auria user base when new VST plugins are on the horizon--we don't have any that will be released soon, but rest assured, more will be added.
Best,
Chris

Re: Email for mixdown file
Hello, All mixdowns are available through iTunes File Sharing, so you are easily able to drag-and-drop them into iTunes when connected to your computer. Also, you can export your mixdowns to DropBox, which makes it easy to get them off your iPad when you aren't near a computer. We appreciate the sug...

Re: Monitoring on a track that is in record
Hello, Audio that is on the track that is currently being recorded to will not play--however, if you set up auto-punch, it will play back audio on that track up until the moment at which recording begins (specified by the locator points). This way you can monitor a track up until the instant at whic...

Re: M-audio Fast Track C400 compatibility
Hello, We have not had the opportunity to test the C400, so we cannot say whether it is compatible. If there is information suggesting that it is class compliant (works without a driver) then there is a chance that it is, but we have not been able to find any confirming this. Best, Chris Miller Wave...

Re: Recording with Focusrite Scarlett 18i6
Hello, Yes--the Focusrite has 2 XLR inputs and 6 TRS line inputs. All 8 (and even 8 more when using ADAT) of these can be routed and recorded to individual tracks within Auria. Simply connect the interface to the iPad using the Camera Connection Kit, and all available inputs will show up in the Inpu...

Re: Sidechain compression in Auria
Hello,
Side chain compression is something we certainly have in mind if we expand the routing within Auria. It will definitely be considered for a future update.
Thanks,
Chris

Re: Apogee Duet 2!
Hello,
The Apogee Duet 2 requires specialized drivers and will therefore not be compatible with Auria. The Alesis iO Dock, however, is fully compatible with the iPad and Auria.
Best,
Chris
