What peak level are you reaching by doing that? Gating only reduces hiss while you're not putting anything into the mic, it will still be part of your signal otherwise.

I think Saturn is a great plugin, it doesn't duplicate anything that's already in auria and sounds fantastic. I love those, on te rare occasion I work on music on my Mac I have stripbus and round tone and they are excellent. I'll send him an email too. A "tape" plugin would be nice in auria.
