Re: Recording Jam Up wet signal
If you have the standalone Jamup you can record it to auria through audiobus. The latest sonic touch episode also shows that IAA can record both dry and wet signals to separate tracks (cool, I haven't tried yet that way but I will). However, more flexible internal routing would be very welcomed in a...

Re: Plugin Wishlist Thread
A new auto tune plugin was released recently, it's called "another take." In some circles it's also known as "vocal lessons would benefit," or definitely in my case "you are a bassist, not a singer."

Oh, and if you get a seven figure advance, most of the figures will be after the decimal! Not many record deals these days...

Re: Has Santa Been?
Yes, you can trigger ez drummer from your midi kit as well, so you're just using it for the sounds. You won't need drumagog with the sounds you'll get. If you can spring for superior drummer is much better, but ez drummer does sound good. Sign up for audiodeluxe's email list, toontrack constantly ru...

Re: Has Santa Been?
Bob, I'd wait on any other plugins, buy the book, read the auria manual, and then when you need another plugin, get it. I'm glad I spent time with auria just using the stock channel strip, because it let me know it's strengths and weaknesses. I have used daws for a long time, but each program has it...

Re: Has Santa Been?
You should get the book "mixing secrets for the small project studio" by mike senior. Mixerman's "Zen and the art of mixing" is also great (and the daily adventures of Mixerman as well, which is a must read, but won't teach you about mixing!) That will help you a lot. There are a...

Re: Wish list for 2014 for Auria
Any chance of having the eight buses accessed by a matrix? If other words, instead of aux sends (or in addition), let tracks route to multiple buses with the ability to adjust how much for each? So in effect, eight aux knobs addressing the existing eight buses? Harrison mix bus does this and it work...

Yes. I've seen both the 25 and 49 key versions used for not much money though.

Re: audio interface + usb keyboard
I don't know that keyboard. Check eBay though for the xio, it's a great keyboard. Mine was $250 new, and I've probably used it on 300 gigs since then, plus done many recordings with the interface part. Money well spent! It's easy to program and I love the sounds in it for bass and for new dance type...

Re: audio interface + usb keyboard
My novation xio keyboard also has a 2 channel interface built in and works great with the cck. It can also record its own sounds direct through USB. Seriously underrated piece of equipment.

Re: Recording the headphone Buss?
I don't think so, but if they're different apps couldn't you insert them all as IAA effects, then hit record? Or use audiobus? Sounds like something Charles Ives would do if he had an iPad!

On the computer, ez drummer and superior drummer are what I use when a live drummer is not an option.

Re: Optimizing Plug Ins to conserve CPU?
You can freeze a channel with any effects on it, freezing is basically the same as bouncing it as you described except easily reversible. Once you freeze, a file is written, then the effects are disabled. Aux sends can still be changed, as can the saturation. When you "unfreeze," the tempo...

Re: Trouble adding reverb
I see your confusion. Insert the reverb plugin on the aux bus, located below the button for the master channel on the mixer. It will open to a window with two slots, labeled aux 1 and aux 2, then you use the knobs on each channel to send whatever amount you want to that effect, depending on which sl...

Re: Plugin Wishlist Thread
Ah, yes, a simple multitap delay, along the lines of waves multitap or reaper's readelay would be awesome. Also, an eq on the convolution verb, or the ability to insert a chain of plugins on an aux would be fantastic.
