Re: JamUp - Standalone vs. In-app version?

Really helpful, thanks :D

Sorry, though, one more question...

I would prefer the plugin for workflow, but is the standalone app much better? Also can you download other people's presets into the plugin?

Re: JamUp - Standalone vs. In-app version?

So, for a guitarist who likes effects, should I get Jamup? I get the impression that it's good for amp simulation, but how are the effects? I like loads of presets to get you started which you can fiddle with. Also like some of the more off-the-wall sounds with chorus, flange, delays etc. A good use...

Re: 2014 App of The Year **Auria**

I agree with Maccup - I wouldn't be recording music if it weren't for Auria making it fun AND good quality. I've had a wretched six months, so no recording, but know that as I pick up my iPad and iTrack solo once more, I don't need to slave over a manual learning a million things before I can hit 'r...

Re: The Auria recording process from the very beginning

I know how you feel, but unlike other recording software, I found it really was pretty amazingly easy to get started. You can then pick up and improve on techniques which are more complex as you go along. You do need a bit of hardware, but Auria is certainly the only DAW I found easy to get started ...

Re: Our album released today, mixed 100% in auria

I've had a few months away from recording, but listening to this has encouraged me to pick up where I left off. Two songs is all I've managed to get through to completion. Really liked the video too. Mostly, though, I stand in awe at the amount of work that's been put in to create very varying sound...

Re: It's alive! Focusrite iTrack Dock released.

Can't comment on the iTrack dock, but I have the iTrack solo and it's Top Banana. I briefly had a quartet. Lovely bit of kit but I can't honestly say that I could tell the ACTUAL difference with ACTUAL recordings. Just my humble thoughts. I agree with Sodium - there is no bit of kit that everyone's ...

Re: Motorcycle accident

Hi Anthony, Not been on for a while, so only just read about your accident. Keep positive, and all the best for a speedy recovery. I had a knee op a while back and used the time to catch up on some reading on recording geekery - much better than daytime telly for the brain  As others were sayin...

Re: Fabfilter plugins: 40% off sale until April 24th

I don't know about pro-mb as I've not got it. I like the mastering app, but definitely find that less is more. I've not got loads of plugs, but do use the ones I have. When I got plugins first, I massively over used them, but used in moderation, when needed, they are amazingly good. I agree with Mar...

Re: Fabfilter plugins: 40% off sale until April 24th

My vote is for Pro-Q. Brilliantly powerful and intuitive EQ. I found it much better to use than the channel strip, particularly because of the user interface.

Not so far as I know.

I got one of those pens that works on the screen. Just an idea.
