Re: Auria Rumors and Leaks

Too soon, huh? Anticipation is palpable. I guess I'll have to figure out some other way to help the children ;)

Auria Rumors and Leaks

I am oh so subtly suggesting that some leaks, rumors, and teasers for the long anticipated Auria (nextgen) would be good for the soul. Not in possession of a soul myself, I don't need anything like that, @Rim, but think about the children! ...for just rumors a week, so many might be saved. ;)

Re: Revisiting Percussion Software

Any app that allows you to easily import samples can be used with the infinite number of one shot percussion samples available on the internet for free and fee. Use the app with the UI that feels most comfortable to you. EasyBeats 3, FunkBox, DrumsXD, NoisePad, BeatMachine, iMPC, and iMPC Pro all ha...

Re: Ram memory saving techniques?

Drumagog pushed my iPad 2 pretty hard, at least when none of the tracks were frozen. Are you freezing your Drumagog tracks once they are set?

Re: Some News about AURIA's MIDI SEQUENCER ???

I use a hardware MIDI keyboard/controller, as I'm sure many people do. What I want to know is if there will be MIDI learn? Will I be able to use the transport controls on my hardware to control Auria transport? (I can assign any MIDI channel and message to any of the buttons) Will I be able to used ...

Love the update! Fabulous that Pro-MB has arrived. I have been hoping it would. I also hope that the legendary and much anticipated MIDI update will happen before too much longer... :)

Re: Drumagog and Hihat articulation

@ Rim Thank you. I have 3 hat gogs that Chris sent me links for, but so far, none of them seem able to make the "hit and shut" sound that the original track has. In my experimental track, sometimes the hat is closed after a sixteenth and sometimes it closes after a quarter or a half note. ...

Re: Drumagog and Hihat articulation

Ha! As an ancient, old man, I sometimes fear "new-fangled" things (like automation instead of manual mixing). It couldn't be simpler, though, could it? I had it going in no time. Still, it is missing some of the open hats even though I can see the fader moving up and down, following the ed...

Re: Drumagog and Hihat articulation

I haven't spent any time learning how to do that, but now I'll go back to the manual and retread the automation instructions. Thanks @ Rim! And everyone.

Re: Drumagog and Hihat articulation

I didn't want to believe that moving the slider as the track plays was the only way to do it. Getting the timing right over the course of an entire song isn't something I really want to do. I avoid using loops because I lose all the dynamics of the performance that way. So for now, at least, I'll ju...

Drumagog and Hihat articulation

Since the Auria version doesn't automatically detect open/half/quarter/closed hat, how does one go about replacing a hihat track with Drumagog while still maintaining open and closed hat? I have been experimenting with it this evening, using a simple track with open, closed, and pedal hat articulati...

Re: IAA and Auria – settings and bizarre latency

I turned off background audio and disabled "Auria MIDI note in" inside nave. Problem gone. The MIDI in thing was something nave did automatically. I didn't turn it on in the first place. I may have left background audio on from the last time I used nave.

Re: IAA and Auria – settings and bizarre latency

Neither iMini nor iSEM are having the problem, so it's got to be something with nave. What setting in nave would cause it?

Re: IAA and Auria – settings and bizarre latency

Nope. I started nave first but had the same result – latency when Auria's transport is running, no latency when it's not. @ Rim — what can I do to make it work like it did on your demo? This is a 4th gen iPad with nothing running in the background. I'm even using all the lowest quality settings and ...

Re: IAA and Auria – settings and bizarre latency

I didn't (don't have to in Tabletop, so it didn't occur to me to try that). I will give that a go and report back here. Thank you.
