Dominic is right.
You have to try all combinations that come mind.

I have a 2i2. Even when powered, if I connect it directly, my iPad does not recognize it. Only when I use a USB hub -powered or not-.

So CCK to USB is being used.

First choice: to connect it directly.
Second choice: to connect it through a USB hub.

Have you tried both?

And that your main goal is Download at 320kbps MP3 -Mixdown by Auria-. Would recording at 24bit, 96kHz off...

If it can be done, what happens inside the resulting file.
Are there duplicate samples? Are there skipped samples? Does it sound strange?

It's a shame Rode bought the app from Audiofile Engineering instead of letting them manage it, would likely not have so many bugs :( The original iXY firmware was also quite buggy.
