Re: Assembly for Auria's effects?

Thanks for the reply Rim, and as I said, no offense intended.

It's probably true that for the last 10% of improvement, you need 200% more effort (or CPU time) -- like with many other things in life :)

Assembly for Auria's effects?

Please don't take any offense when I'm saying that I'm wondering why Auria's effects use quite a lot of CPU. Yes, I know the quality is exceptional. BUT, my main composition tool (NanoStudio) also has effects that are not INCREDIBLY good, but quite fair (apart from the reverb). In a typical NanoStud...

Re: which plugin has stereo spread?

Is Auria an Image editor or a DAW? ;)

And concerning the freezing - you can simply calculate the freezing time by the following formula:

(Length of Track) x (CPU usage of that track in % / 100)

Re: which plugin has stereo spread?

Yes, the "delay one of the stereo channels ever so slightly" technique is what I've used to death on both vocals and pads. Very CPU efficient and dramatic effect. Though on pads, I often use "regular" x-delay setups (say, 1/8 dotted) with lots of wet. It also extends the release ...

Re: Future Auria + MIDI + AudioBus = Virtual Instruments?

OK Rim, I was just thinking that for some twisted reason, Auria would not be able to use several AudioBus audio inputs at once at all times, but now that I think about it, that's nonsense.

Thanks as always for the great and quick support.

Re: Future Auria + MIDI + AudioBus = Virtual Instruments?

That's great! Obviously, that would require a lot of processing power, but it's nice to know that the AudioBus framework supports it...

Re: Future Auria + MIDI + AudioBus = Virtual Instruments?

OK uhm, it seems like no matter how extensively I explain something, people never understand me. I REALLY need to work on my expression skills!!! 8) Again, my normal workflow, using virtual instrmuents, in a normal DAW is like this: - Add MIDI track - Add Virtual Instrument - Route MIDI track to Vir...

Re: Future Auria + MIDI + AudioBus = Virtual Instruments?

Nah, just the ability to use several external Apps live, throughout a session, through Auria's mixer and effects (as if they were regular "internal" audio tracks) so you don't ever lose the ability to edit the MIDI data and don't have to "re-freeze" (aka re-record) them... (Next ...

Future Auria + MIDI + AudioBus = Virtual Instruments?

Hi, I'm just wondering: When MIDI is added to Auria and the iPad 4000 is out, will it be possible to use Auria just like a regular Desktop DAW with virtual instruments, i.e., open Auria + 4 synth apps, route them all through Audiobus -> Auria's mixer in real time, use Auria's effects, and then NOT (...
