Re: It's spring...wondering if Auria Pro will be released so
EDIT: it seems like the post I've been referring to has been deleted... so never mind :| I simply don't understand what's so hard to get about the word "spring". Spring ends on June 21st, and it's May 29th today (at least in Germany ;))... so the release, while maybe a bit later than many ...

Re: Pro-DS...Before or after reverb
To give a final answer to the OP: - your setup is perfectly fine. Put a de-esser as an insert into every vocal track that needs one, preferably BEFORE any EQ - the reverb, if added via an aux send, has no influence on the de-essing whatsoever, and auxes are always the preferred way to get effects th...

Re: Pro-DS...Before or after reverb
You cannot use a single de-esser on multiple (mixed) vocal tracks, as it is essentially a compressor and... well... you can't run multiple tracks through a compressor either, except for mastering. If one of the vocal tracks says "sssss" and the other says "eeee" at the same time,...

Re: Pro-DS...Before or after reverb
Hell no, you can't de-ess multiple vocals at once with a single de-esser plugin, that's absolutely blasphemic.
Finally, it would also be a disaster if Auria sent the signals pre-channelstrip to the auxes, I hope that's not true!

Re: can a mixing console be used with auria
When I still had a "real" studio, I ended up buying a Mackie Control and one extender, which gives you 16 motorized faders, panpots, mute, solo, transport controls etc... so yes, I guess "nowadays", the way to go is doing everything possible in the box (or "on the slab of gl...

OK, the average season on Earth is 3 months, roughly 90 days, so that's only exactly half of it so far

Re: length of timeline
I wonder what the actual problem is that this causes? To the contrary, I only see problems appearing as soon as you artificially LIMIT the song length... you might have to readjust constantly... If anything, Auria could automatically stop after the last part on any track ends... but manual length? I...

Re: Major Auria Announcement
Dude, I'm a software developer with ~ 20 years of experience, and let me tell you that implementing MIDI tracks (highly structured, sophisticated, layered metadata) is about 10 times as complex as Audio tracks (pretty much just a flat buffer of random bytes). It doesn't have anything to do with the ...

Re: Any reason to buy Final Touch if you already have Auria?
I often find myself wanting to adjust the mix during mastering (especially the bassdrum and bassline in EDM, and often reverb / delay levels as well), as mastering often changes the stereo width and spectral balance. So I always master "live"

Re: Auria Pro: Sneak Peek video
Fair enough, that should suffice. Maybe offer a few select crescendo curves (linear, log etc.) in a later update  BTW: You might want to use the first and last note's existing velocities, and then interpolate between the two, so that the user can easily set the start/end velocities for the cre...

Re: Auria Pro: Sneak Peek video
Thanks Rim. Regarding the first question: If I draw a line from left to right and velocity 0 to 127, the notes in between would then have velocity 0 on the left, 63 in the middle, and 127 on the right Kinda like editing velocity like a controller. To draw crescendos etc.
