just to add the the min/sec lines debate, it would seem logical to have lines on the whole numbers of seconds and then halves etc. they seem to be random at the moment and I currently just ignore them.
(am I just repeating what the original poster said?)

Re: 1.03 update issue resolved.
Adding a second or third finger after it turns red feels like a kludge. It should be more intuitive than that. I'll work on this some more and see if I can come up with a solution that makes sense. Rim In logic pro 8/9 to move a region vertically while maintaining it's horizontal position they use ...

Re: 1.03 update issue resolved.
robdean, I've tried a similar approach before, but ran into issues when the user decided to drag the region quite a distance (while staying on the same track), then decide to move to another track. It's strange to have it snap back to the starting point in this case. Maybe I could revisit that meth...

Re: 1.03 update issue resolved.
A simple solution to this might be to use 2 fingers if you want to move a region vertically (and maintain it's horizontal position) - I find this a very useful and necessary function. Then simply abandon the 'initial snap' thats programmed in altogether allowing for precise region control right from...

Re: 1.03 update issue resolved.
just tried a whole bunch of different places in the region at a variety of zoom levels. nada.Rim wrote:How about where you're grabbing the region? I usually grab in the middle of the region, not towards the end.

Re: 1.03 update issue resolved.
I do not have any issues, either with the update crashing or smoothly moving regions with snap turned off. I noticed on the video posted where smooth movement isn't working, that the time line is set to Min/sec. I wonder if this is an issue with projects saved with a Min/sec time line in previous v...

Re: 1.03 update issue resolved.
would be very interested to know if anyone who has downloaded the new 1.03 update has managed to get the smooth initial moving of regions to work as in Rim's video.

Re: 1.03 update issue resolved.
ok, I really tried everything in that list on the default 'approach' project on many regions and not even a hint of it working, always having a jump. nothing like your vid which looks to be exactly what i'm after for precision editing movements. ipad 2 16GB iOS 5.1.1 auria 1.03 all default setting i...

Re: 1.03 update issue resolved.
I just experimented some more, and found the trick. It's important to keep your finger exactly horizontal when you start to move it. If it's even slightly diagonal, it will think you want to move to another track, and will initiate the snapping. Rim I've tried keeping this in mind and still cant ge...

Re: 1.03 update issue resolved.
The only thing I can think of is that the addition didn't make it into 1.03 and Rim is using 1.04+

Re: Disappearing arrange window after "delete track" dialog
same here. try to delete any track of the approach and a delete yes/no box pops up and goes all white behind. after this all other projects are white in the edit screen.
quitting and restating brings the project back to normal but no tracks have been deleted.

Re: 1.03 update issue resolved.
mtingle, here's a short video of how the new non-snapping region move works for me: I simply tap and hold on a region for more than a few seconds without moving, then I proceed to move. I don't have any snap. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yy4ureuJSjc Rim I made a little vid showing what I'm doing ...

Re: 1.03 update issue resolved.
@vezinho all I do is copy the files directly to where all the other files of that type are. and no I don't zip them. just copy them from the auria folder or sub-folder over to the computer. Just make sure you put them back in the same place as where you got them mimicking the folder structure. It's ...
