Re: Analog style VU metering?
I'm want to try the mixing technique in the link below. If I set the Microwarmer's controls to zero, can I use its meters? I'm thinking yes, but I'm not positive. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ECRx4WF3pcc So did you try it? Does it work? Just tested with the Microwarmer's VU meters, and it seems to...

Analog style VU metering?
Hey folks, I'm looking for a(n) IAA/AudioBus/app/Plugin with an old style analog VU meter that I can use in the master channel. Anyone know of one? I found this, which I'm sure is a great suite of tools, but it's a steep price ($20 for app, $3 for IAP VU meter) to pay for a VU meter. AudioTools by A...

If music creation is your main goal, the extra RAM will go a long way.AndyE wrote:I believe the 12.9 has 4gb of Ram, where as the 9.7 has only 2gb. That in itself is significant.

Re: Studio speakers
That's right. With no interface you'd also need a 1/8 to either xlr, 1/4 inch, or rca cable, depending on the monitors' input.Skippy567 wrote:Let me get this straight, if I want Yamaha hs5, or say rokit 5 G3, I do not need an interface?
But if I don't have an interface I should change the headphone jack settings?

Re: Studio speakers
If you're going to monitor through speakers connected to the headphone jack, you'll get far more accurate results if you turn off "Built-In Speaker/Mic Processing" in Auria's settings. The iPad's headphone out processes the outgoing signal by default.

Re: Tempo matching AIFF drum loops in Auria Pro
If you're importing AIFFs from Auria's "import file" option, there's an option on the bottom of the import window that says "Automatic Time Stretch". Make sure this is enabled and each loop you import will be automatically stretched to the BPM of the song.

... is VERY nice. I've just started experimenting with the guitar and vocal versions. They're very cool IRs for anyone looking for more.

iRig Pro Duo: question
I'm currently using an iPad Air 2 with a Focusrite 2i2 and experiencing the pop issues on iOS 9.2. I've been thinking about getting a new interface as my 2i2 doesn't handle guitar signals without clipping. It didn't bother me much because I already had an Apogee Jam, but the iRig looks like a good l...

If anyone knows how to use it for simple pitch correction, I'd love to see it. Maybe someone could make a video of Re-tune in action?
