Sanity check: In the Settings for this iPad, did you enable the Microphone for Auria?

Not sure whether the 18i8 operates similarly to the 8i6 (which I have), where the headphones output is ganged to Outputs 3 and 4. You can route the audio there, along with 1 and 2 (your main out).

From an audio standpoint, there is no real benefit from an extra processor, either physical or virtual. While traveling home on a train last night, I was working on a song in Auria, which contained some plugins, including one IAA (Crystalline)...only five tracks at present. iPad 4, iOS 7.1.2, Auria v1.154. (Although Wi-Fi was turned on, there were no available hotspots in the area at the time.) Auria'...

What mtingle said. Also, what Rim said...I'm all for performance over enhanced graphics.

I've stopped recommending Focusrite interfaces to a number of users for this very reason. I am even considering replacing my unit with, say, RME, or possibly the Steinberg...each has an iPad config app. @Katherine, with all due respect...no need to reply herewith unless you intend to inform us that ...

Please don't forget to add panning of Subgroups/Auxes...even on the Master Channel.

Sorry...I know this is not the Wishlist thread....

Assuming the presets haven't been erased - merely "hidden" - can you find them using iFunBox, then move them to the appropriate directory?
