Yeah! It's too bad Apple doesn't support European (and other countries) video standards as well which are 25 (or 50) frames per second.
30 frames per second is US and Japanese video standards.
That's the reason why I bought 16 GB Ipad instead of 64.

Re: Recording vocals using iPad/iPhone built-in mic
I made this track singing through the internal Ipad mic. The reason was that the room I use for singing was busy. I sat on a bed with the Ipad on a pillow holding a coathanger with a nylon fabric as a popfilter in my hand. I used narrow filtering with Pro DS (de-esser plugin) and Pro Q (eq plugin) t...

Uploaded "Knife" to Youtube. Slideguitar was played through a Blackstar HT Dual pedal. Singing was through the internal Ipad mic. I used narrow filtering with Pro DS (de-esser plugin) and Pro Q (eq plugin) to get rid of some loud s-sounds.

...Did you actually get the Apogee Duet to work with Ipad? As far as I know that shouldn't work (though that may have been changed).
(The Apogee One works with a powered USB hub and the CC-kit. And Garage Band for input selection.)

Re: apogee mic, monitoring through ipad headphone jack?
I'm a beginner too. Whatever latency there is, I guess some added on comfort-echo will wash away. At least I like some feedback echo when I'm singing. The Apogee One works fine, unless I'm not sensitive enough.

Re: apogee mic, monitoring through ipad headphone jack?
You are probably right as I can turn on e.g. the reverb while singing. Mackie Blackjack seems (claims?) to have direct monitoring (bulkier!).

Re: New Focusrite Scarlett 18i20.
...A big selling point (or buying) for me would be if it can work as a stand alone device without the Ipad connected, as a mixer. It would be nice to be able to have everyting connected for practice while the kids steal the Ipad for Angry Birds.

Re: apogee mic, monitoring through ipad headphone jack?
...Or you could consider the Apogee One which has a built in mic + headphone/line output, as well as an optional 48V mic input and an instrument/line input. It requires a USB hub to work. It also needs Garage Band for switching between the inputs. But if you have it set up for the internal mic you d...

Re: A Very Merry Auria Christmas Everyone
Merry x-mas from me as well. Two x-mas songs from me. I'm not that good as a performer. I did write them myself though. (The first one of these, White..., I recorded with Auria.) I hope you enjoy them. White Cold Crystals: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ui4O6pLavx8 The Kids, Not Santa, Fill This Hou...
