Re: FabFilter Pro-L2
I’m impressed with FabFilter’s support of their Auria versions. I’m sure it’s a not a big part of their sales, but they seem extremely responsive in making the mobile versions available. (I own ever one, and will happily upgrade to L2).

Re: New to Auria
While Auria is an extraordinary DAW for iOS, and there are actually things I prefer using it compared to my desktop DAW experience, because of limitations in iOS, screen size, size of development teams, etc, there will always be things it will lack compared to tools like Pro Tools or Studio One. It’...

Re: Does anyone know the software called iMazing?
I’ve just started playing with it the last few weeks (it’s part of the SetApp subscription bundle). It seems to work very well: lots of features and much less sketchy-seeming than iFunbox. You can smoothly move files back and forth between your iPad and desktop as expected, but there is also built i...

Re: IPad Pro 12.9 and Fab Filter Plugins Larger Sizes Issue
Thanks for the heads up. (And really, in most cases, the medium or large sizes are plenty big on my iPad Pro... it was just more of a question of folks unexpectedly running into problems when selecting the extra-large size). And if it's not clear to folks pondering picking up a Pro, the 'no way to e...

Very cool Anthony! (And a while back I tried to check out your studio tour on your YouTube channel, and it seems to have vanished. Was that intentional?)

Re: IPad Pro 12.9 and Fab Filter Plugins Larger Sizes Issue
Thanks for improving things in 2.14! All the FabFilter plugins now work at ‘medium’ and ‘large’ sizes, but there are still a few that are shifting up off screen when set to ‘extra-large’ on the original iPad Pro 12.9: Pro-MB at extra-large is shifted up off the screen and is impossible to close. Pro...

Yes, as far as the NanoKontrol2, one brave soul tried hooking up two and was unsuccessful.

IPad Pro 12.9 and Fab Filter Plugins Larger Sizes Issue
If I select ‘large’ or ‘extra large’ sizes for most Fab Filter plugins, when the plugins are opened at a later time they shift upward so it’s nearly impossible to drag them back down so you can actually click the x to close the interface. The issue doesn’t effect non FabFilter plugins or AU’s, and t...

Re: Looking for advice on effects for Auria
Very reliable, Tovokas - I use it daily. The presets are not that good - too bright and the names are misleading more often than not, but modeling algorithm itself is very good and you can get consistently good results once you find your way around the plug-in settings. Unfortunately, no built-in g...

Re: iOS11
Sweaty palms... should I update yet or hang just hang tight? At this point, unless there is some new feature in iOS 11 that you have to have, I would think from a music perspective there likely isn’t any reason to update right away. Saying that, it seems to be working just fine on my machine. Howev...

Re: Looking for advice on effects for Auria
I agree that BiasFX and Tonestack sound awesome, (I have both) but I would be wary of using them in Auria. They require using the older IAA (Inter App Audio) method, and many of us have had nothing but heartache using that technology. (Some folks seem to get along fine.. but I’ve lost lots of hair t...

Re: Dare I install iOS11 now that in full release?
Agreed, if you have anything important going on, just wait. I don’t however, and Auria and iOS 11 seems to be working well on my iPad Pro 12.9 in cursory testing. I’ve been doing most of my music work of late on my computer, finishing up an LP. But coming back and testing Auria, it’s really amazing ...

Re: Let's try to get more plug-in manufacturers onboard!
I think the AU route is more likely as well, but I love the rock-solid stability of the FabFilter and PSP plugins in Auria. As far as I can remember, I've never had a crash related to any of them. AU is obviously FAR more stable than IAA, but the need to work in many hosts, along with the apparently...

Re: Question about Auria Pro and suitably
I think (at this point in its development) the general idea in Auria is 'know you're tempo changes before you start recording', as things can get a bit dicey if you start making huge changes after the fact. The app is always evolving, so who knows what the future will bring, but at least for now I a...
