Why not just attach a mixer to the inputs on the Alesis IO Dock?

It's been sometime since I started this thread. Since then, I upgraded to the iPad3. This was my best option, considering that I have the Alesis IO Dock that I am not willing to jerry rig to work with the iPad4 lightning connector. I'm curious to know how many users have an iPad only, Auria only recording studio? Just for clarity sake, I'm mean every project is started and completed without aid or processing in another device or computer DAW.

I don't know if this is an option for you, but I recently picked up the Akai Synthstation 25 keyboard for $25 US. It works really well with iPod/iPhone, and works as a back up midi keyboard.

when did Sampletank become Audiobus compatible?

I followed your workflow (on iPad 2) and did not get error. I launched Auria, then Sampletank. Audiocopied loop from Sampletank, switched to Auria, then audiopasted loop. Switched to Mixing view, then back to arrangement view.

Sorry, I am unable to support your claim at this time. My quad core laptop outperforms my iPad2. That is usually what happens when you compare apples to oranges

I really don't care whether or not MIDI is implemented, I just hope they wait until the audio stuff works first. If I were them, I would make it a plug-in, so those who have no use for it can skip it.

I will acknowledge up front that I am very perturbed by some of the posts I have read recently, so I may not be as rational as I ought to be. Auria is a wonderful tool (especially in conjunction with the Alesis IO Dock), but did anyone really expect to replace all other recording tools with this one...

Fusionarts, forgive my intrusion, but since you posted the question in public, I thought I would ask a question: if the bug fix you are waiting on doesn't make this update, what's your plan B?

Your list made me go back and check my options. Turns out the NLog MidiSynth has both Audiobus and WIST compatibility. I am going to see if I can use that app as a signal source for Auria. I will share my results when I have something.

Dominicperry, thank you for your help. I think I will eventually have to upgrade to an iPad4. In the meantime, are you aware of any DAW apps that are both WIST and Audiobus compatible?
