Article on Workflows Using NanoStudio and Auria
I just published an article on my website Makin' Music In 2013 , that talks about iPad music making and in particular, discusses apps such as NanoStudio, Auria and AudioShare. I talk about using these apps with regard to managing presets and samples, preparation tips and techniques, best practices a...

Re: Auria 1.09 submitted to Apple
After closing all the apps I also click and hold the power button till the power slider appears, then I press and hold the home button till the home screen appears, this flushes the RAM. I often start a new session like this. Wow! Hey, that worked... the damn malingerers are gone! I was not aware o...

Re: Auria 1.09 submitted to Apple
Never heard of that before. Did you guys try a hard reset/reboot by holding down the power and home button until the apple logo shows up? Chris, Yes, believe me I'm an old hand at figuring out how to hard reset a device! I'm talking about exactly that process. I just tried it again just now, I had ...

Re: Auria 1.09 submitted to Apple
I too have experienced this since apples latest update. I actually noticed this for the first time with Auria. Auria had frozen up on me when I was using the ProDS and it forced me to reboot my ipad so I did. I then noticed that Auria was still in memory so I held it and removed it using the red mi...

Re: Auria 1.09 submitted to Apple
As far as apps popping up in the multitasking bar after you reboot, here's what I know: If any apps are running in the multitask bar, then you reboot the iPad, these apps will reappear in the multitask bar after the reboot. In other words, rebooting doesn't free up memory, or close your background ...

Re: Auria 1.09 submitted to Apple
That's not right, there shouldn't be any Audiobus related crashes in 1.08. Have you followed the list I posted for making sure Auria is always closed when you launch Audiobus? If that doesn't help, then 1.09 won't help what you're experiencing. Not much has changed from 1.07 to 1.08 in terms of Aud...

Re: Auria 1.09 submitted to Apple
Can't come too soon! Gadzooks, 1.08 is a disaster... I cannot get Auria to run. Period, end of story... no amount of closing, rebooting etc, I just get a shitload of Audiobus error popups and then Auria bails. Every time.

What happens to work we do in 1.08 using Pro-C, when we get the update to 1.09?

Documentation Suggestions
Rim, Here's a few suggestions to help keep things possibly better clarified: 1) For the User Guide, add something to show new material germane to the latest update. E.g., have a small "NEW" logo etc in the margin, to introduce a section that has changed from the last software/manual versio...

Re: AAF file transfer problems
Do i have to somehow zip them to move the folder as a complete unit over to the other ipad ? If not it seems like its asking me to only move each file one at a time rather than letting me select the xyz.project folder as a whole. Mike, Sorry, I just meant that the project file is in effect a zip fi...

Re: ASK THE RECORDING EXPERTS
To cure this matter simple set a LowCut filter in ProQ and dial it to 25Hz to 30Hz essentially removing any frequencies in the lower sub bass range that truly affects the muddiness of the mix. Then set the ProQ to midside mode and select another LowCut filter and set the frequency to 90 Hz in the s...

Re: The "Auria Wishlist Thread"
1. A way to easily rearrange the order of channel strip inserts. I often want to juggle the order to find the best combination of multiple effects. Drag-and-Drop would, of course, be best. Right now, you need to save the current settings as a preset for each effect in the chain, then delete/add to c...

Group All Tracks: When enabled, groups all faders together to allow instant global fader adjustment, i.e. to globally pull down the overall mix for better gain staging and dynamic range.
Group All Subs: same as above, but acts only on the sub group faders.

Re: Duplicate a Track
Hashachar, How about creating a template? Take one of your projects that has multiple tracks with guitar, processed as you like. Now just delete the unneeded (non-guitar) tracks and then finally, delete the audio in the remaining guitar tracks. Now save the guitar-only project and use it as a templa...
