I know it's not automation because when the sound completely goes away all I have to do it double click Home, right swipe, and press the play button for the IPad media player, and the sound immediately comes back.

Nobody is having this problem other then me?

I was just playing back one of my drum tracks, and about a minute in the audio lowered by itself. Then approx. 15 seconds later it dropped out all together.
